New location features expanded plant offerings and introduces Pittsburgh’s first DIY Plant Bar
PITTSBURGH, PA – August 21, 2023 – Ruby Flora Plant Shop (Ruby Flora), a woman-owned small business and houseplant destination for new plant parents and seasoned collectors, is delighted to announce the grand opening of its new location in Bethel Park. The new store will welcome plant enthusiasts on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 104 Broughton Road.
Ever since its inception, Ruby Flora has been a pioneer in providing a curated selection of top-quality indoor plants, establishing itself as a beloved destination for plant enthusiasts within the local community. The new location offers the South Hills and surrounding communities an expanded range of lush indoor houseplants, rare varieties, thoughtfully selected botanical accessories, repotting services, educational and fun workshops, and a custom soil blend station. Additionally, Ruby Flora is bringing the first DIY Plant Bar to the Pittsburgh area. This one-of-a-kind, inclusive, open-space concept offers customers a unique opportunity to repot plants, build-your-own terrarium and more. The DIY Plant Bar experience is also available to rent for celebrations, events, and private parties.
Lindsey Thompson, owner of Ruby Flora Plant Shop and the visionary force behind the brand, has meticulously crafted a plant haven offering an enjoyable experience that easily adds vibrancy to living spaces by bringing nature into homes.
“Since the beginning, I have been on a mission to create a unique houseplant destination,” said Thompson. “After owning the small plant shop for two years, I now fully understand what people want and expect from a local houseplant shop. This store is my heart and a true extension of my passion. This larger space allows me to have something for everyone, no matter what stage of plant ownership they are in. I’m thrilled to embark on this new chapter and continue to nurture the joy of plant parenthood.”
Join Ruby Flora in celebrating the grand opening of their new location on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a free planting activity for kids and the first 50 people will receive a punch card good for one free 4-inch plant, after 9 punches.
